Cove Industrial maintains the most up to date CAD and CAM software library. This enables us to keep lead times and "time to prototype", down to an absolute minimum, and ensures a swift response is delivered by you to your customers. We also have the ability to receive your designs, attached to email, in numerous file formats, enabling us to quickly identify any possible design problems which may need to be resolved.

A design begins life as a 3D model created in Inventor 2010 where it is then reduced to 2D and imported into Radan for programming and porting to the machine shop. This work flow ensures high accuracy production ready drawings that improves lead times and quality.

Cove's design team have many years of design and practical shop floor expeience. This experience ensures you of a complete understanding of all your design and build requirements.

Cnc punching duties are taken care of by two Weidemann cnc punch machines. Cove have offered a cnc punching service for over 25 years, this service allows us to produce sheet metal profiles very quickly and helps to keep operating cost’s to a minimum, we can produce profiles in most sheet metal materials and plastics including thicknesses up to 6mm in aluminium, brass and copper and 3mm in steel and stainless steel.

In addition to this our machines can add formed features such as dimples, louvres, logo indentations, electrical knock-outs and countersunk holes thus avoiding the need for additional operations.

We currently operate a Weidemann Motorum 2044 which has a 41 station tool capacity and a Weidemann Centrum C2000Q which has a 33 station tool capacity. Both machines are programmed by our highly skilled staff off line using Radan software, and we carry a comprehensive stock of punches to suit most requirements.

Cove have invested heavily in the latest cnc forming equipment and have recently installed two new Bystronic PR forming machines which fulfil the highest demands for the production of formed sheet metal parts.

Both machines are cnc operated and can be programmed off line using customer supplied files. They can produce formed profiles in all popular grades and thicknesses of sheet metal up to three metres in width.

Both machines are operated by our highly skilled staff who have attended specialist training at the headquarters of Bystronic Uk.

In addition to this we store a comprehensive range of Bystronic tooling to produce a multitude of profile options and utilise a Bystronic supplied automated tool storage system

Cove’s welding staff are tested and qualified to the requirements of BS4872 and can offer welding services such as Mig, Tig, gas and brazing. We weld aluminium, steel and stainless steels in most popular sheet metal thicknesses. Our welding equipment includes a Messer Greisheim 350A tig plant, a Miller 100A AC/DC tig welding plant and a Migatronic 440 AC/DC mig welding plant.

In addition to this Cove also provide a spot welding service in most popular sheet metal materials and thicknesses.

Silk screen and Pad printing is a most versatile method of printing single and multi colour text and logos on to sheet metal components, enclosures and panels. Cove can use supplied transparencies or originate the art work from your supplied drawings in both regular and electronic format.

Cove are proud to offer a dedicated assembly department to satisfy the needs of its customers, utilising machinery such as two Pemserter Series 4 pneumatic presses which are designed to fit a full range of fasteners such as bushes, studs, locking fasteners and anchor nuts. We also fit a variety of rivet nuts using an Avdel 74200 Hydro Pneumatic insertion tool

Cove offer assembly services to all sectors of sheet metal manufacture to customer supplied specifications from small brackets to large aircraft and marine console assemblies. 

Cove have invested in the latest most up to date production control system called MIETrak, which is an easy to use, production control and job tracking solution designed to help us increase our operating efficiency whilst keeping the cost to you, our valued customer down.

MIETrak integrates all aspects of the fabrication business from quotation, order entry, scheduling, purchasing, manufacture, inventory control and shipping. A bar code system is used to capture shop floor data, which enables MIETrak to integrate all aspects of the fabrication business processes to provide vital management information when we need it.
